Executive Profile
Chris Cohn and Alex Salcedo, Managing Partners:
The founders of Scottsdale Recovery Center are both extremely passionate about helping people recover from their addictions. Chris Cohn, founder of Scottsdale Recovery Center, LLC has been in the recovery business for over 5 years now. Being in recovery himself and having lived in and managed sober living homes, as well as worked at various treatment centers, Chris knows how to run a successful treatment program and recovery home organization. Chris graduated from the University of Arizona with a Sociology degree and holds a Masters Degree in Addiction Counseling from Grand Canyon University. Apart from being the founder and co-owner, Chris is highly involved in the therapeutic processes; utilizing his personal journey through recovery as well as his education.
Alex Salcedo possesses the desire to go above and beyond all expectations to ensure client satisfaction and strives to keep our recovery homes and treatment center a "Sanctuary For Sobriety." Alex is committed to helping people stay sober and is a huge asset to our organization. Alex brings to the table experience, passion, commitment, honesty and integrity

Both Chris and Alex are in this business for one reason: To help the still suffering alcoholic and addict get and stay sober. Furthermore, their ability to think outside the box and use their extensive network of licensed therapists, substance abuse counselors, Intensive Outpatient Programs, sober coaches, detox centers, medical doctors and psychiatrists opens the door to an all-encompassing recovery program. The programs implemented are all PROVEN to keep people sober and attain life-long sobriety. We give you the tools needed to get and stay sober; the willingness, acceptance and ones ability to surrender must come from within.
Our philosophy - It's pretty simple, the more treatment and therapy one receives the better their chances are of life-long sobriety. A drug and alcohol addiction can be a love affair that exceeds even the love of a family member. Long-term treatment is the key ingredient in the recipe for everlasting sobriety. 30 days is not nearly enough, 3-6 months is what we recommend.
You can spend an upwards of $50,000 a month on residential treatment OR you can spend less than a quarter of that with us and receive the same type of treatment and living conditions that you would receive at any high-end residential treatment facility. Our homes are structured recovery homes run by live-in and experienced house managers. Our Intensive Outpatient Treatment Facility, located a short drive from all five of our Scottsdale homes, gives us the capability to provide full treatment at a fraction of the cost. We are running the same types of groups and therapy that a treatment center runs, plus a few that are truly unique: relapse prevention groups, process groups, family groups, one-on-one counseling, sober/life coaching, DUI counseling, treatment and education, domestic violence, anger management and ethics screening, 12-step based yoga classes and Equine Therapy.
In our efforts in providing the most dynamic and comprehensive treatment services possible, we employ:
- Evidence-based practices, I.E., cognitive behavioral counseling and motivational interviewing
- Alcohol and drug evaluations
- Holistic, scientific, disease model and 12-step methods
- Drug education
- Relapse prevention groups
- Process groups
- Family groups
- One-on-one counseling with licensed therapists
